One way to install a love of reading in your kids is by doing Feature Story Unit Lessons. A unit lesson is when everything you teach ties into a theme. Feature stories are a great way to do this.
Below are fifteen lesson guides that will help you do unit lessons around these specific books. I usually spend two weeks on one lesson, but feel free to go longer, or take less time as needed.
Each guide has a book list and suggested songs for story time/ circle time. There are color pages and other activities in each guide too.
